Want to carry out the first and only national aid, rescue, rehabilitation, socialization and adoption project, specialist in the thirteen sighthound’s breeds so massacred.
We are a group of volunteers, activists and vegans that have been years working and fighting for animal rights. We specialized ourselves in sighthounds, hence the project you can see here.
“SIGHTHOUND’S PARADISE”
OUR PROJECT IS …
Day to day struggle to integrate in our country the 13 breeds that make up the group of sighthounds.
Save them from hanging, overcrowding, abandonment, abuse and mistreatment.
Have them in “Sighthound’s Paradise” installations, for surgeries, heal, rehabilitate them and take their traumas away.
Once this hard work is achieved, the animals will be destined as follows:
•As care and assistance dogs for disabled people
•To join us in awareness and educational campaigns
•Visits to hospital centres
•Visits to reformatories for the rehabilitation of young people.
•To families that wants to adopt, strictly controlled
•And a long etc …
Located next to a natural environment, 40 kms away from capital city, is the place, we found for the animals.- 20.000 square meters (5 acres) with 30 kennels properly equipped and big espace for the dog to be able to move.- Rehabilitation area for traumas- Private river for hydrotherapy- Grooming center and 24 hours veterianry clinic to keep all the animals there in the best conditions.- Private cemetery- Playing areaWe need economic support to carry it out. You can visit it whenever you want, by going to the place or simply at your house just by enter our site. You can also sponsor, become a member and be part of the many ideas we have. Every single person supporting this project in any way, will have its own star there as a help recognition.
THE SIGHTHOUNDS
Sighthound’s group is made up of 13 recognized breeds.
There are also a few more breeds that in spite of not being recognized they are treated like sighthounds.

•All of them are abused and abandoned for several reasons, mainly because of its special character and work as hunters.
•Their major misfortune is the speed,so much to the point they are used as mere tools.
Every year are hanged, abandoned, thrown into wells, beaten, mutilated, burned alive more than 50.000 galgos in our country.
Mainly, the reasons for their abuse and abandon are:
GALGO: For his great speed for hunting
GREYHOUND: For use them in racing at dog tracks
AFGHAN HOUND: For the required cares by their long coat
ITALIAN GREYHOUND: For their extremely nervous character
IRISH WOLFHOUND: For their big size
They are extremely sensitive animals and after going through this horrible situation, they are marked for life with terrible traumas, which make them shiver so much they can even get to urinate by fear, unable to walk them in the city, not able to be touched by strangers and many more.This is another reason why it’s hard to get them adopted and find the appropiate family and well prepared for dogs like them. Rehabilitation is expensive and hard because they can’t control panic attacks.
